In this research study, we examine how stress impacts African American women during pregnancy. Our goal is to better understand what types of stress impact the mother that could be linked to preterm birth.

What is preterm birth? Any birth before 37 weeks gestation

What kinds of stress? Social/financial/racism/discrimination

When does this stress occur? Stressors can occur before or during pregnancy
